“Get a Life…Spark!” Episode 39: What’s LOVE Got to Do With It (Success)?
Nearly one week ago, I was approached by one of my most admirable mentors, Joe Sorge, with an opportunity that I didn’t (and yet, at the same time, I did) see coming; at least not this early on in the year.
For those of you who do not know Joe Sorge, he is an extremely successful entrepreneur here in my home city of Milwaukee who has received national recognition through his successful use of social media engagement to market his businesses.
He’s the bald guy who owns AJ Bombers. You know that burger joint that won the Food Wars competition the other year! No big deal, really! ![]()
One year ago, I did not know Joe personally nor did I know that I should know him.
It wasn’t until Spring of 2011 that I would stumble upon Kitchen Table Companies while googling for business resources to help me obtain business strategies and advice that would help me take my coaching practice to the next level. Kitchen Table Companies is a virtual small business advisory board founded by Joe Sorge and Chris Brogan, who was recently named #1 on Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencers.
So what does all of this name dropping have to do with me? What does all of this have to do with LOVE? And most importantly, why do you care?
This coming Tuesday at 1pm CST (Valentine’s Day), I feel blessed and honored to be featured as the guest Kitchen Table Company to be interviewed on the weekly LIVE show “Kitchen Table Talks” on The Pulse Network, a resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs to come together to discuss best practices through social media.
Guess what I’ll be talking about. Yep, you got it: LOVE.
Nearly every single week I have joined in on the discussion as I watched the LIVE show featuring guests that were NY Times best selling authors, CNN correspondents, marketing and business strategist celebrities, nationally renowned professional speakers, and successful entrepreneurs.
Every episode I have avidly taken notes and went away with invaluable information to help me put to practice new strategies and tips that would prove to help me evolve my business brand throughout 2011. I got myself knee deep in the Kitchen Table Companies, showing up every week engaged in the forum and on Twitter, and open to acquiring the insight and wisdom shared in this space.
And I’m glad that I did.
After connecting with all of these influencers and like-minded folks like me that hang around the Kitchen Table Companies community via Twitter hashtag #KTCO, I found that building my business wasn’t just hard work, it became more.
More fun. More enjoyable. More strategic. More engaging. And more unique.
It was in this space that I redefined my passion statement, with the help of Joe Sorge who is darn good at raising thought-provoking questions through Kitchen Table Companies by reminding me WHY I dedicate my life and work as Berni Xiong, Your Life Spark:
I am passionate about helping YOU fall back in love with your self to attract the life, work, and love that makes you excited to wake up every single morning without an alarm clock.
And there is no way I could ever espouse to teach you that without living out the values and principles myself in my own personal and professional life. All the blood, sweat, and tears that I put into the last year, and even the few years prior when I had no idea what I was doing, have prepared me to be more equipped to support you and all the changes you will face with your life, work, and relationships as you evolve; just as I had to in order to evolve.
And with that, I put together this quick video for you.
It will help you to understand what LOVE has got to do with SUCCESS:
After you watch the video, tell me what you think about LOVE –> SUCCESS by commenting below. And remember to catch the show on Tuesday!
